Sabrina Maragnani (Subvision), nasce a Berkley, San Francisco, cresce in Germania e vive attualmente in Italia. Inizia ad interessarsi di fotografia già in età molto giovane, e allestisce la sua prima camera oscura a soli 14 anni. A partire dal 1998 inizia a viaggiare tra Europa e Stati Uniti lavorando su commissione per privati e agenzie pubblicitarie nel settore dell’industria e della moda, sviluppando sempre di più uno stile personale che trova la sua evoluzione soprattutto in camera oscura. Vive in Messico per un anno dedicandosi esclusivamente alla fotografia e al suo ritorno in Germania, nasce quella che ancora oggi è la sua firma: Subvision. Nonostante l’era digitale, l’estetica di Sabrina vota per una fotografia analogica, “fatta a mano” e rigorosamente in bianco e nero. Interessata soprattutto a temi sociali, diffonde il suo lavoro attraverso media non convenzionali, utilizzando un linguaggio che si riconosce nella street art.

 

Sabrina Maragnani (Subvision) was born in Berkley near San Francisco, grew up in Germany and is currently living in Italy. She began to be interested in photography at a very young age, and set up her first darkroom when she was only 14 years old. After living in Mexico for a year, dedicating herself exclusively to photography she returned to Germany and set up what is today her professional identity: Subvision. From 1998, she has been traveling between Europe and the United States, working on commission for private clients and publicity agencies in the industry and fashion sectors, developing a personal style that has found its evolution particularly in the darkroom. Despite the digital age, esthetically Sabrina has chosen analogical photography, „handmade“ and strictly in black and white. Particularly interested in social themes she is spreading her work through unconventional media, using a language that is recognized in street art.
